Steve Jobs introduced the new Ipod Shuffle today at macworld or expo whatever. It is a portable player that works off of flash cards in 512mb and 1gb sizes. My brother told me a couple days ago they were gonna make this. As I already have an Ipod this news means little to me. In fact I only post this to expose a very funny disclaimer that points to a sadder part of our culture.
The image to the left shows how small Apple’s** new Ipod is. Lower on the page a set of disclaimers can be found as is required in todays litigation obsessed culture. They read as follows:
Music capacity is based on 4 minutes per song and 128Kbps AAC encoding.
Do not eat iPod shuffle. *
Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles and may eventually need to be replaced. Battery life and number of charge cycles vary by use and settings. See www.apple.com/batteries for more information.
Some computers require either the optional iPod shuffle Dock or a USB cable extender (sold separately).
*Disclaimer: Heavier font weight was added for effect to further the laughable nature of Apple’s disclaimer. All respective products, names, and companies are owned by those companies. Do print and eat this blog. Truffles are nasty.
**Consuming an excessive amount of apples can produce a laxative effect
