Another Thing To Do, To Distract You From The Things You Need To Do

I was trying. Anyways. They are going to create a Bob Ross video game. Initially, this sounds great, but when the novelty of digitally giving a stream some friends wears off, it’s actually very sad. Now I’m not trying to be hipocritical. I play video games. But they are a substitute for “real” adventure or creativity or for some people a chance to shoot people and not go to jail, I guess. Video games simulate an activity giving immediate payoff without the work. Like most things that sell us short, it isn’t fullfilling enough so an addiciton is created. It takes longer and longer to achieve the high that you first experienced. Until you are no longer even taking pleasure in playing, you just need to get the high (level). Video games are called interactive entertainment, but this is a misnomer. According to dictionary.com, Interacitive is defined as, “acting or capable of acting on each other.” A video game works off supplied a.i. (which is also a misnomer, programmed code has no intelligence. It only reacts, it does not interact.

This game, though a fun thought, steals from kids the ability to create a work and with pride, hang it on a wall. Video game evangelists would say a “digital” painting is cheaper and easier than a real one. They are right. This makes painting cheap and easy.

There are many things that could be described as cheap and easy and most of them can kill you.
