Awesome

Just read an article about this in Wired Magazine. Apparently its called larping. Larp means live-action role playing. The difference between this and a re-enactment is that re-enactors are professionals and pretend whereas these people actully fight and anyone can join. Now I just gotta re-watch the special features on lord of the rings to learn how to make my armor.

The Darkon Wargaming Club

Jesus Picture of the Week

I’m bringing back an old feature where I post a picture of Jesus. Sometimes they are offensive, sometimes funny and sometimes simply ridiculous. This is one is a t-shirt design.

This one comes from Threadless.

Threadless allows users to upload t-shirt designs which everyone then votes on and they print the most popular.

Song of the Day

Lyrics from “Theologians” by Wilco:

Theologians
They don’t know nothing
About my soul
About my soul

I’m an ocean
An abyss in motion
Slow motion
Slow motion

Inlitterati lumen fidei
God is with us everyday
That illiterate light
Is with us every night

Theologians
That don’t know nothing
About my soul
Oh they don’t know

They thin my heart with little things
And my life with change
Oh in so many ways
I find more missing every day

Theologians

I’m going away
Where you will look for me
Where I’m going you cannot come

No one’s ever gonna take my life from me
I lay it down
A ghost is born
A ghost is born
A ghost is born

I’m an ocean
I’m all emotion
I’m a cherry ghost
Cherry ghost

Hey I’m a cherry ghost
A cherry ghost

What do you think it means?

Breaking News

I love AOL news. The sad thing is, everyone my age that grew up using instant messanger is getting all the important news of the day from them. They have kept us up to date on important things like atlantis, nudists and now this.

I’d love to comment on this but I’ve posted quite a bit today and the thing with my brother is weighing on my mind.

Sammal*

He really is quite mad…look at him

*Tried mixing his name with mammal doesn’t work as good as satan and animal

Crying Wolf

This is Sam.* He is my brother.* He recenlty joined the occultic animal/dance/comedy troupe, “Satanimals”.* Over the last couple weeks we believe he has been listening to music, spending time in the woods and eating animals. A source that wants to remain unidentified has seen him and other members of the group speaking audibly and defecating.* We are concerned for him.* Please offer your thoughts and prayers for him.

*Unconfirmed

More on Scientology

With many cults that pretend to be religions most people think scientology is weird or wrong but have no idea how much so. Cults like this usually begin with a pretty messed up weirdo that makes some pretty wild claims that somehow create a following. The leaders that come after him change the beliefs and policies since they know it is all a lie but they must keep the buisness alive. Scientology fits under this description as well as another wideley known and practiced “religion”. Like a child who stole a cookie and is being caught cults must be extremely defensive because accepting another persons opinion would only completely unravel their twisted logic. Am I saying all the people who follow these cults are BAD? No. Some people need to belong to something and some parts of the teaching might make sense. I agree with scientology that psychiatric drugs are pretty bad and that part of disease has to do with the mind as well as the body, I just don’t use a tricorder to scan my body for alien parasites. Or that at pregnancy you need silence and calm or the child will go mad (see previous post).

If you wanna read more about L. Ron Hubbard and the history of Scientology you can here.

I’ll leave you with this:

“99% of what my father ever wrote or said about himself is totally untrue.”
-L. Ron Hubbard Jr.

Use the Force, Tom

Tom Cruise and Katie Prepare for Birth

I love the fact the reporter calls scientology a sci-fi cult, like Tommy (i call him that) is a star wars fanclub member or something. The best part is the further you read the more it sounds like it.
