Afternoon Delight

Sitting on a couch with a nice warn out comforter on my legs is a favorite past time of mine.  I used to jokingly refer to making myself lunch, skipping Film Production 85b, sitting down to watch a movie, and throwing on a blanket as afternoon delight.  This was later ruined by the resurgance of the song in the movie Anchorman, but not before my wife unknowingly used the term when telling people what I like to do.

I have been recently robbed of the joy because my comforter has been replaced with one of those too short fleece blankets that is neither warm nor comfortable.

Anyone who has ever enjoyed the fine art of getting a blanket out to watch tv or a movie knows what I’m talking about.  The only challenge to enjoying the warm arms of your cotton friend comes when trying to play some leisurely saturday morning nintendo.  You had to leave the blanket down at your waist so you could see your hands or try the risky “tuck the end of the blanket around your neck and lean back on the couch so it stays” manuever to keep it over you.  Well this problem is now solved.  May I introduce you to the “Slanket”.
