After seeing slews of celebrity pregnancies and the film Juno, I predicted this would happen. So now I can accuse my little bro of just trying to be like Brad and whomever he’s having babies with right now.

So my last post was a mildly creative and not very amusing detailed illustration of the aggregate politics of southwestern Djibouti.
My buddy Moses suggested we use this as the symbol for our newly formed bike gang*. Which turned into Comment Fest 2007.
So this begs the question…If this image was our “avatar”, what do you guys think we should call it (the gang)?
*mostly beach cruisers (me) and one road bike (him)

I said I would never enter a film “contest” again after the disappointment I felt for not winning an award at a local film festival several years ago. I was a little spoiled by the fact that I had won runner-up for best screenplay the year before.
Then Heinz came calling, promising money and fame. That cruel mistress. I gave the contest a fleeting thought and then mentioned that thought to my co-worker.
Inspired by some events at work, we decided we needed to enter and a week later shot our idea. My brother drove down with 2 hours notice and joined the crew along with his buddy from college who lived locally. We shot it last sunday from 10:30 p.m. to about 3 a.m. and spent basically the entire weekend editing it. Without further ado, Enjoy.
I went to the Krochet Kids weekly meeting last night. I am really impressed with the folks over there. They leave for Uganda the beginning of May so it’s coming down to it. If you are interested in helping them get there or paying for supplies and just supporting the cause you can check out their donations page . They also now have some T-Shirts you can purchase.
