Been posting a lot of videos lately which I try to stay away from usually. But i’ve had a busy week and havent been able to dedicate my remaining brain resources to coming up with biting comments about the world around me. So today I bring you more videos.
Im sure a lot of people have seen the “Numa, Numa” video. Well with any “funny” internet video there comes a following with many videos that come after. I still laugh when watching the original. I just can’t believe the way this guy moves. Well someone has created a music video for the same song. It’s actually pretty hilarious. It has a real european feel to it and the people who did it are definitely creative. There are some great moments to laugh at. I dont need to tell you what they are I’m sure you’ll have your own favorites.
Original Numa Numa
It wouldn’t be complete without a Japanese Version
Once Again, I absolutely love Japan. Not only is this “sport” already completely awesome but they gave it the name “The Ultimate Fighting Robots League.”
This goes with my great idea that watching mascots fight would be a great entertainment arena. As long as it doesnt look like anything real its great to see things fight each other. Its the sort of thing that you are laughing at and completely amazed by at the same time. There is no more joy a person can have than using their million dollar toy to break anothers’ million dollar toy. The pure shame of losing a toy robot fight could break a man.
Me and a close friend share a love for most things Japanese. This site is for him.
I am in currently in the process of getting ready to make a couple films with a friend next week, which at this point means looking for music. I really have been wanting to use some sort of indie/pop/electronica stuff for my next movie so I spent the day searching. Found a couple things I liked, including Tycho (sort of ambient artsy feel, really good though). It wasnt until later in the day when I found the jackpot I was really looking for…Japanese pop rock. One group I especially like is Snowball. They say they are influenced by the beatles and beach boys and just released a new cd. I would link to the site, but you cant read it. Actually thats the whole reason I’m posting this. I translated the page dedicated to their new cd and this was the description of their new album:
One spoon inserting the mad rhinoceros in the colorful pop music, when 33 times you stir, it to be possible, rising. As for present dessert lemon source per seat snowball of wild cherry.
I dont know what it means, but whatever it is…I like it.
Check back this next week, I hope to have some sort of audio so you can hear one of their songs.
