Tonga

I am gonna do this.

I’ve always said Tonga is where the Hawaiians go on vacation.

Tonga Facts:
A friend of mine is from Tonga (read his blog, he is touring with a museum exhibit).
Tonga is one of the last monarchies.
After recent riots and government corruption, many of the inherited government positions will soon be elected, though Tonga will still have a king.

Firefox 2.0

Firefox 2.0 is here and its great. The changes are small but they definitely add to the web browsing experience. If your not using tabbed browsing and live bookmarks (if you are using Firefox click the little orange logo in the search bar or bottom bar on this website to add a bookmark that will show you my latest posts as soon as I make them).

The best part of the new Firefox is the new spell check feature. It gives your misspelled works a small red underline when you are typing in any web form, like my comments section for example.

Get it here

and if you don’t want to jump on the firefox bandwagon at least get Opera.

Jenna Elfman is not a hobbitfriend

Its been a while since I attacked Scientology. I probably shouldn’t because if you attack it, your probably a criminal and murderer.

Just in case you don’t want to be called a baby r@#$&#, buy this shirt to fit in.

EDIT: I’ve gotten reports that the site for the t-shirt cannot be visited from certain outlets so I’m posting the a picture below:

Free Katie

Tom Cruise got fired from paramount pictures this week. An executive was quoted saying they thought he was a great actor but:

“we don’t think that someone who effects creative suicide and costs the company revenue should be on the lot.”

Also an actor who is a member of a mind controlling cult that causes suicide among it’s members isnt great either.

Join the fight to Free Katie Holmes.

More on Tom and Scientology.

More on Scientology

With many cults that pretend to be religions most people think scientology is weird or wrong but have no idea how much so. Cults like this usually begin with a pretty messed up weirdo that makes some pretty wild claims that somehow create a following. The leaders that come after him change the beliefs and policies since they know it is all a lie but they must keep the buisness alive. Scientology fits under this description as well as another wideley known and practiced “religion”. Like a child who stole a cookie and is being caught cults must be extremely defensive because accepting another persons opinion would only completely unravel their twisted logic. Am I saying all the people who follow these cults are BAD? No. Some people need to belong to something and some parts of the teaching might make sense. I agree with scientology that psychiatric drugs are pretty bad and that part of disease has to do with the mind as well as the body, I just don’t use a tricorder to scan my body for alien parasites. Or that at pregnancy you need silence and calm or the child will go mad (see previous post).

If you wanna read more about L. Ron Hubbard and the history of Scientology you can here.

I’ll leave you with this:

“99% of what my father ever wrote or said about himself is totally untrue.”
-L. Ron Hubbard Jr.

Use the Force, Tom

Tom Cruise and Katie Prepare for Birth

I love the fact the reporter calls scientology a sci-fi cult, like Tommy (i call him that) is a star wars fanclub member or something. The best part is the further you read the more it sounds like it.
