If you guys read my blog more than once a month by accidentally clicking the bookmark you made 2 years ago, you would know I’ve been hyping both these albums. They both contain beautiful american folk music, although both are quite different. Fleet Foxes are a Brian Wilson influenced band that trade songs about California Girls for hymns about woodland creatures, while Justin Vernon’s Bon Iver was devised, written and recorded in a cabin over a Wisconsin Winter after a band breakup.
