The other day I shared a single with you off the new album by Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward. Here are a couple videos of their performance at SXSW.
My love for Star Wars has been reignited by my 5 yr old nephew. He recently visited my house and we spent hours playing Lego Star Wars for the Wii and looking through Star Wars: A Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy. I’ve played a considerable amount of Lego Star Wars since they left and have been thinking about revisiting the movies again starting with the lesser first three films.
There is just something about the imagination of a child’s mind and the fantasy of Star Wars, that strikes a perfect cord.

On a sidenote, I actually wrote a college paper on Star Wars as it relates to the Holocaust as portrayed in cinema, maybe I’ll post it later this week.

Wow for some reason this did it for me today. There was something about that kind smiling man inviting me to join him. I closed my eyes and was wearing a ringer t-shirt I inherited from my brothers and had already eaten breakfast, sitting on the couch comatose, ready to explore the world of crayon factories or have a visit with the genteel mailman.It might sound sappy or a little sad, but this short video brought me some much needed peace and calm today.

I love it when people don’t take themselves too seriously. This is one of the reasons I like comics (the people) because it’s usually part of their personality to make fun of themselves.
